Memories of Deceased

We would like to dedicated this page to our classmates who have since deceased.  Most of our male friends have gone to Vietnam.  If you know of anyone who has gone to Vietnam and did not return home, please let me know and I will list them on this page.  We want to remember all of our classmates who are dearly missed.

  1. Hi! Need your help re: THE WALL OF FACES

    Henry Louis Johnson, Jr
    Private First Class
B CO, 3RD BN, 187TH INFANTRY, 101ST ABN DIV, USARV
    Army of the United States
    New York, New York
    September 27, 1947 to September 12, 1968

It was reported that he attended Brandeis HS in (or up until) 1966. Henry was drafted into the US Army in 1967. When he arrived in Vietnam on 1 March 1968, he was assigned to B Company, 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, USARV. Henry died as a result of gunshot wounds to the body from hostile small arms fire, when B Company engaged hostile forces in the vicinity of Fire Support Base Pope and 15 kilometers northwest of Ch Chi. He was survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Henry L. Johnson, Sr., of 779 Concourse Village, East, Bronx, New York.

We have nearly completed the photo project, with about 158 men from NY and Puerto Rico still missing at least one photograph at their dedication sites.

If they're available to you, will you pls check the Brandeis yearbooks for 1962-66 for just one photo of Henry L Johnson, Jr? If found, please post it at his dedication site (above) on behalf of the Alumni Assn. Thank you! Mary DeWitt (870) 376-2990, VVMF Volunteer

  2. Correction, I believe Freda graduated in '73, not '77. I got mixed up with her college graduation.
